Web based UI Builder.
Hello all -
It started getting to be a mess recieving requests for tweeks to mods/skins and delivering them. In addition to this, I found that there seemed to be a number of people that would use a custom UI, if they didnt have to get technical enough to configure it. So, that started me down this path............ uibuilder Select the "UI Builder" link. You can enter in your desired skin name, select from a list of mods, build your skin, then download it. I use a hybrid of Vert/TKing/Remelio mods. So the base skin is vert 1.0 (I will be looking into vert2.0 later) Included currently: - TKing spell books - Remelio TKing mods - TKing and Raxthorne Icons - Several player windows (int pet caster, wis pet caster, melee, bard etc) - Couple different HotKey Windows. I know the server will likely be a bit slow. If people, in general, like this type of tool I will look into some "real" hosting solutions. Looking for some feeback, Thanks, mg. |
looks good but...
There is a problem on the builder loading the pictures. I can't see any for it is just a buncha symbols. Is it just me being a moron? or is it messed up?
otherwise looks like it has some great functionality! :nana: |
hmm I think that has to do with me storing the picts without the .jpg extension.....
perhaps some browsers dont like that, I'll change that tonight and see if that fixes it. Possible that you use something other than netscape or IE? mg. |
Correction:
it is a Netscape issue, Ill resolve this tonight. It's me whos the moron lol mg. |
Wow,
Very Cool.... What a great Idea... testing it now.. will see what the mod looks like when i get home.. Kudane :nana: |
Using Mozilla here. Gotta love no-pop ups. I just made a mod out of the blue and am going to test it now. I just picked some things.
ps. You arn't a moron. You made this :) thats gotta be a smart thing to do hehe. |
It worked good I noticed that the file EQUI which was not in a XML format was like 2.5 mb. What is that suppose to do if anything? It is in no readable form and that seems to be the biggest part of the entire download in files sizes. Is that some error in the code?
|
:(
It seems like your web site is already over-loaded.. maybe if it is as good as it seems.. Kudane could have it added as a feature here please? :) |
Thanks for the feeback so far.
Man, I knew it might bog me a bit, but my equipment stinks worse than i thought. Site will be up and down for periods next few days, while i scramble for more cpu/bandwidth. Sorry for the pains. mg. |
Good idea Mykol. Having problems displaying the page, but when/if I can get it to work on my comp. I'm sure it'll be a great help.
|
Hmm, I got it to run on my comp finally. But I'm having a problem viewing the images. IE, don't get to preview the window's I'm adding before adding them. And I don't get to see the finished product either. Just a heads up. Helluva an idea though man.

I was able to get it to work and all I also tried to do a download with just the Buff Window and Buff Icons when doing that I got the Vert Mod and all the other pieces when I didnt choose them. Plus that file I mention on the post above the EQUI file that is not in XML format that was like 2megs.
I hope you get it up and running soon with the Bandwith to handle the trafic :nana: :nana: :D :nana: :nana: |
Ya the image problem was pointed out too me earlier.
Its my stupid mistake of not storing the pictures with the .jpg extensions. IE dont care, but the good browsers do hehe Bit by Micr0s0ft once again! Regarding the EQUI File, another stupid mistake by me, that is a .bmp screen shot of my ui from some point. I missed taking that out, when I was creating the default files. Thanks for pointing that out. mg. |
link
i clicked on the link in your first post and it does not work for some reason? what should i do:nana:
|
Its not you Sarna, its me, I had too take site down because I was getting more traffic than I thought.
I am working on moving servers now. Gimme a bit, I'll get it up on better server soon. Kudane has graciously offered too help with the hosting. Sorry for the inconvienence. mg. |
