Looking for the "Find" path data
I wanted to change the color of the "Find" path that appears in the tutorial and bazaar. Anyone know where this is stored?

If changed, wouldn't it just be repatched next time you start EQ?

I think if you manage to get the edited files the exact same size (shouldn't be hard if it's merely a color change) it should be fine. The patcher might look at the "Last edited" date as well, but that's easily fixed too.
Mind you, I really have no real clue so I might be talking outta my butt, but it seems to me there are really only so many ways the patcher can determine if a graphics file is out of date. Unless they have some fancy watermark deal going which I doubt. Anyway, don't hold me to it, as it were... :D |
you have to add the command -patchme to the shortcut. However, if you use the launchpad system there is no way to bypass the patcher. This is only for use with the shortcut for eqgame.exe i believe.
Here's an example of a find indicator I did with instructions on how to make two shortcuts, one for patching and one for bypassing the patch. http://www.eqinterface.com/download....php?s=&id=3205 |
Havent looked at this thread in a while.
I always get around patcher replacement by creating a batch file that copies my desired files over the patched ones. I run the bat after the patcher finishes patching, but before I click play. Lets me do other stuff like bypass some of the startup screens (SOE logo, etc) |
