New to editing

I'm working on a 4k UI for P99 and I'm running into general frustration with making XML changes, saving, reloading it always crashes inevitably.

Is there a way around this? Is there a way I can make these changes "offline" and get around the crashes?

That's something that has happened as long as I have worked on UIs. I have noticed that some zones it happens more often than others, like when I was working on my UI in the CR newbie area it crashed a lot more often than I usually see the game crash.
