Trying to add the 2 together, but cant figure out how... I cant modify the XML file, as in add the last new few things to the Templates. So I cant copy whats needed and just add to the XML File.

zirquel 07-22-2011 03:34 PM

You can edit the template file with notepad. Otherwise just replace your templates file with the one I uploaded my last post, then. Remember to delete the map file too!
Let me know if the template file doesn't work and I'll try to remember to grab my working one.

I apologize for the delayed response.

Update is uploading now.

zirquel 07-24-2011 03:07 AM

With how quick to update AND change things for our hearts content you usually are, I think you being late once in awhile is perfectly forgivable, lol. Thanks much!

warriorofmight 10-13-2011 12:32 PM

Updated for the 10/12 patch.

Nothing was broken, nor do I particularly care about the vitality bars, but for those that do I have added them to the inventory window below the gear in some unused space.

evo III ui

Warriorofmight are you going to be takeing over evo 3? or will/ can you update it for the new expantion?

warriorofmight 10-18-2011 10:42 PM

Hmm looks like the cat will be out of the bag early ...

I have no intention of purchasing the next Everquest expansion. The only time I log on anymore is to update my UI so others can use it. As I no longer have the time to play this game, I have placed Duadil in his last guild and will be retiring as of the 4th of November when my current subscription ends. It's been a fun 10 years for me, but it's time for me to hang up the sword.

That being said, I will attempt to maintain the Oink! Reborn UI for as long as I can if people on this site will continue to provide info for each patch and give a change-log/breakdown to work from. However, without the means to test my changes, I cannot promise anything.

As to Evo III, I will not be taking over that UI, nor will I be attempting to update it going forward.

Did the best I could to update Oink! Reborn for VoA. I tested what I could and the UI loaded without errors. Hopefully this will work for you all and good luck in the future!

Available for download when it passes inspection.

Not sure what you mean?

Every file that makes Oink! Reborn is in the folder that is uploaded here. 99.5% of maintaining this UI is editing XML files in notepad (or a similar program).

warriorofmight 03-16-2012 02:26 PM

Re-downloading EQ. Will hopefully have it fixed by the end of the weekend.

:nana: F2P

Edit* Actually ... I'm going to have to think about this ... the "prestige" thing is a major turn-off

warriorofmight 03-18-2012 02:29 PM

Oink! Reborn is updated for F2P.

There are a couple changes in this version.

1. The Merc Manage window is basically the default one. I will change this going forward but I wanted to get an update out to you all sooner rather than later.

2. The hotbutton window is very different. I would definitely like to hear back from people about this one because I've not yet made up my mind as to whether i like it better or not.

warriorofmight 03-27-2012 06:12 PM

Minor update should be available shortly.

Tweaked a couple windows and restored some functionality to others that I had removed.

I rearranged the gear in the hotbutton window to make a little more sense. Seems easier to work with for me so hopefully you'll like it.

warriorofmight 08-15-2012 04:30 PM

Yeah, not sure what changed in this last patch, but no XML errors.

That being said, I would recommend deleting your EQUI_Containers.xml file. This will bring the containers/bags windows back to normal. Right clicking on the titlebar will give you the option to show the Done button.

If anyone notices something that's not working, let me know. Like I said, dunno what they changed in the inventory window, but everything appeared to be working.

Garaddor 08-15-2012 04:39 PM

Delete it from where. The default section or whatever UI you are using?

inventory change was just a slight aligment x and y change nothing of value..container window they removed any and all reference to the augmentor. other changes were options window and xml window...shouldnt affect too many unless they have custom options, item view, container windows.

warriorofmight 08-15-2012 07:42 PM

Yes, if you are using Oink! Reborn, you navigate to your Oink! Reborn folder and delete the Containers file.

Thanks Halelen. That's how it appeared to me but I didn't do a file compare or anything.

I can't remember what specifically I had changed in the Containers window. I want to say it was the Done button back before they added the option, but I might have aligned the bag slots themselves differently ...

I'll look into it tomorrow.

warriorofmight 03-05-2013 06:03 PM

Did a slight update to the UI yesterday.

Tweaked the tribute information on the Target Window and added/removed some stuff to make the UI error-free.

I never did look into the bags to see if I'd done something different with them, but feel free to let me know if they are different from before.

To those who use Oink! Reborn, I would love to see some screenshots of it in action. I'm curious about different layouts or pieces you might have replaced that were more to your liking and why (especially casters as I play(ed) a warrior).

Let me know!

warriorofmight 03-20-2013 09:02 PM

Made a few more changes. See download page for release notes.

A note about the Buff windows - I am currently testing out a different buff window setup and included it in the release for feedback, though you folks are generally pretty quiet. I also included the original windows in the release under the subfolder Old Buff Windows located in the Oink! Reborn folder. Simply copy the files from the subfolder into your main folder and overwrite to get them back.

warriorofmight 10-23-2013 09:23 AM

Updated for CotF

-Updated Templates for SCFS button, which is still hidden
-Updated Inventory Window for Mercenary Inventory
-Updated Bank Window, by which I mean I switched it out for someone else's bank that I liked that had the updates. I might take a look at the one I had and see if I can update it

Nice UI, my only problem is i cant seem to close chat/ tell windows, or am i just missing something.

thanks

You are not missing anything In order to close unwanted windows, you will need to switch to the default interface (or another interface that allows closing the windows), and close the window, then switch back! Part of the sacrifice of having the cleaner windows I'm afraid.

Not sure if you figured this out in the few years after this post was made on the download page but you can close the chat window or any window for that matter by makeing sure the closebox style is set to close like...<Style_Closebox>true</Style_Closebox> (which yours is already set to on your chat window)then just right click on the titlebar or top of the window and choose close from the drop down menu. it is how I do mine and just wanted to share that with you.

Odamb 03-30-2015 09:04 PM

Looking for the working version of this after the new Loot window was added.

warriorofmight 04-02-2015 01:24 AM

Not gonna make any promises, but I'll try to take a look at this, been a long time since I logged on to EQ.

warriorofmight 04-02-2015 08:16 PM

I *think* I got everything working/current. Let me know of any issues.

warriorofmight 09-02-2017 05:31 PM

Looks like I got archived, but UI now loads without errors for any who might still use this.
