Small map broken as of patch
Hi all,
I'm using one of the tiny map mods (have tried two different ones) and as of today's patch, the map window is greatly enlarged with a lot of black space to the right and bottom. I tried setting the window to sizable, but it won't resize past the top atlas tab (and the map is actually smaller than that) and the bottom won't resize up at all. Any ideas as to which of the updated files broke this and how I can fix it? I copied all of the Sony-updated files into my custom UI folder this morning. One of them was responsible, guessing EQUI_Templates perhaps? Thanks for any help! |
currently working on this ..its probably the new background command that is borking this

I've been trying to figure out the issue for a while too. Aya's having the same problem. If I find how to fix it I'll let you know.

Thanks so much, all! Struggling with the large default map now and it's terrible. I've been spoiled! =)

Well good news is I figured out where and how the new background command is used <BackgroundDrawType>3</BackgroundDrawType> is placed in the templates file under the WDT you are wanting to address.
Bad news is as i thought this would fix the small map problem it did not...back to the drawing board. Hal |
more bad news it appears there is a hardcode issue or something...can make the window larger all you want but cant make it any smaller.

That doesn't make sense. Why would SoE hard code one window?
|
try it yourself you can make the window larger all you want but can not make it any smaller.

Confirmed Mini Map window is borked! Notice the Atlas window though- it is resized to fit the new window size but the bags and map window are not. There is where the issue is I would suspect. |
Hal its not that i didn't believe you its that i just don't understand SoE's reasoning
|
So if the atlas is the root cause here is there a way that it can be removed?
|
didnt think ya didnt believe me was actually trying to bait you into looking at it so maybe you could find something i have missed :p
