Spell Bar
First, let me say that I have read, but not understood, quite a few threads in quite a few of the forums here.
I went throught the FAQ and the READ ME pages. I do not have any skill in editing UI files. I just want to change my spell bar to the one posted by SPARXX. 1.) I downloaded the entire UI and extracted it to a SPARXX folder, located in my UI folder for EQ. 2.) I then created a new folder, named WANTED, and copied all of my DEFAULT UI info into that. Now, to retain my original interface look, but get the spellbar from SPARXX, what files need to be copied into my WANTED folder? I tried moving EQUI_SpellDisplay, but that did not change anything. Thank you in advance for any help I get. -Muffinstalker, the Bakery Bandit |
Rule #1 NEVER copy the default folder into a custom folder. The way EQ works is it loads the selected interface upon startup. If only a couple of pieces are in that folder, EQ automatically loads the rest from default, so there is no need to add any of those files into a custom folder. Doing so will cause the UI to "break" with future updates.
To answer the question, the file you're looking for is EQUI_CastSpellWnd. Odds are the window will not look exactly like it does in the Sparxx UI. You can try copying over Templates or Animations, or try editing the file yourself to change the appearance. |
Thank you very much. That worked, i was moving the wrong file. And I appreciate the confidence you have in me, but I am not going to jack up my UI files again...
