Poor me! Everytime I get close to finishing a simple mod, Sidl crashes on me! I'm so sad. Here's a tip: Save once in a while!

Programmer here. Learned the hard way... several times.

Now Ctrl-S it like a nervous twitch for me every 7 seconds.

i learned that too ... and i learned one more step a few times ago : do copies : the soft i used had the wonderful idea to be unable to save sometimes : it open file , write nothing in it , and close it , and act as if it was saved ... but i had an EMPTY file instead , or how to lose all the work of the day....
