New Spell icons
 

I am ok with the corrent UI but the spell icons are a joke in my opinion -- I have found a new set in a UI I downloaded and would like to use those icons. How do i swap them?

You will need to copy the "spells01.tga - spells05.tga" and the "gemicons01.tga - gemicons02.tga" files to your new skin dir. Once you do that you should just have to start EQ and you should be good to go.

If i have old spell icons, will it just use the default ones for the songs that dont have icons?

Yes, if you do not replace one or more of the files it will simply use the default files for those files. But usually you will want to replace all of the files.
