Keldrane try this,

1. Delete your default folder, repatch EQ but dont play the game.
2. If you still have the zip version of your current UI and any add ons you might have put in it. Rename your UI folder name and then unzip your Mod into the name you used to call it.
3. Now Run EQ.
4. When you go on in your character if your old UI doesnt work then type /loadskin <UIName> 1 (like you would the old way)

I have yet to get the loadskin window to work.
If you still have problems leave game and go to your default directory and copy these 2 files to your UI Folder:
EQUI.xml
Sidl.xml

Then retry running EQ and follow steps 4 if needed listed above.
