go into yout UI dirrectory and then defualt_old. Copy all the files called GemXX.tga and spellgemsXX.tga (XX being 01-06ish)
go back out into the main UI files dirrectory, make yourself a new folder called custom, copy those files into there. Then load up eq and go into options (alt-O) and click load ui skin, and pick out the folder you made. (when you name your folder don't put any spaces or odd characters in the name or it won't work)
If you're using a custom UI then copy those gem* and spellgem* tga's into whatever custom ui folder you're using.
