A couple things:

First, I don't think dragitem34.tga actually changed; it's still dated 3-15-06, and it compares exactly the same as the one I've been using in my custom set.

Second, there's a patch starting right about now that I'm hoping will fix a big problem with EQUI_GuildManagementWnd.xml...for whatever reason, their new one has the code for the GT_Tributepool label all concatentated onto a single line which is not only hard to read, but also hard to work with. Looking at that code, in fact, I'm unclear as to why it works at all, given the presence in the old version of the file of an extra ">" after the </ScreenID> that follows "TributePool", and its replacement with &gt in the new version...by my way of thinking, both of these constitute syntactical errors that should make the UI interpreter throw up.
