Viewing maps on non-mappable zones?
Hi
Just wondering about something.. I saw this:
http://www.eqinterface.com/sdownloa....php?s=&id=1567
Sol ro is a zone without mapping, so how come this pic has a map of sol ro in it? is it in an emulator or is there a way to turn on the mapping for these zones?
Thanks

There is something about editing an ini file. I know it can be done, but I don't remember how.

When the mapping first went in the game you were able to pull up maps in no-map zones by just reloading the UI. SoE has sence killed this "feature".
There are no ini's or configurations to be altered in the everquest folder that will enable mapping in every zone.

While we are on the topic...
When the cartography system first went in they said you could get special parchments to let you have maps in those zones, anyone know if they ever actually went in? I have never actually seen them or heard about someone having them, not that I have really looked for em but I would have expected to stumble across a couple at least...

I'm sure that the map that he/she had in that picture was downloaded. You can download maps for Everquest. And if it wasn't downloaded, then he/she could have made the maps by using auto-map... but maybe I missed something and they disabled auto-map in certain zones or something..
edit: Hey, 50th post!
