Upcoming Game Update
On Wed June 27th with the game update, they will be changing the AA Window and the Item Window. Has anyone looked at them to see what we who use custom UIs will have to change to make them work?
Thanks in advance,
Laini

We will all have to wait until the stuff goes live. Sony has a bad habit of implementing 11th hour changes to things before they go live.
I always launch the game about an hour after a large patch starts to see if there is anything that will affect my mods and make any changes that seem prudent. but I never release them until the game is up so I can test them. 99% of the active UI's here get updated within 24 hours of a patch, its only the older mods that are being patched together by the users that tend to lag behind a bit.

Zatozia just posted a NEW date for the next patch.
On Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 4:00 am PDT (5:00 am MDT, 6:00 am CDT, 7:00 am EDT, -7.00 GMT), all EverQuest servers will be down for a Game Update. The estimated downtime is 9 hours.

Reading what is available to find today on patch day with EQ down. It almost looks like we could just copy a few files to our Custom UI's to get the item desplay and AA window to work. Do I read this correctly?
Thanks,
Laini

Or better, just delete the xml files from your custom UI folder (aa window, item display window, options window, potion belt window and dynamic zone window [although the last is just a cosmetic change]) until your UI modder updates their UI.

And with a heavy heart I bid adieu to Everquest Live.

Think that that it will depend on the UI. Some that heavily modify the UI such as AYA, will probably crash, but I suspect that conglomerates such as EQRas should be ok.
