Hiccups after new mod... /sigh
I loaded a couple of mods (1 player info mod, the other was for buffs) and since then, I get horrible lag after playing for a while - it seems every time I open my spellbook, it gets a little worse.
I need advice from anyone with the smallest clue.
1. Can this be fixed, if so, how?
2. If it cannot, what do I need to do to eliminate the new mods, and simply go back to the way it was?
I have no idea about anything having to do with programming, and never should have even tried to do this. I just want to play my beloved EQ again!
Thanks, guys!

/loadskin default 1
will get you back to the default interface
check in the 'uierrors' file in the EQ directory to see what problems you mod might be having.

Similar problem...
When I tried /loadskin <name> 1 OR /loadskin <name>
I suddenly have horrible, excruciatingly bad lag.
As soon as I type /loadskin default, all is fine. No lag, no slow mouse movement etc.
Any suggestions on how to solve this problem besides not loading the skins?
I did check my uierrors file and found many errors that were very similar, here's an example from the error file:
[Wed Oct 02 10:30:11 2002] Warning: file UIFiles\deiliasui\ not found in directory UIFiles\deiliasui\. Attempting to use file from Default skin.
Forgot to mention the mod I am using.

Vert 1.1 Skin / Mods
Player window: vert-all
Edit: I fixed my problem by downloading a clean .zip file that only had the information for the particular window I wanted changed(from the eqgui download section). When I originally downloaded and unzipped the file made by:
http://uibuilder.eqinterface.com/
it inserted quite a bit of information I did not need, that caused the problem.

OK - this may sound like a stupid question - forgive me, I am a housewife, not a programmer...
Is it possible that the resolution I am using will cause something to lag out (If the Mod i loaded is made for a different resolution..?)
If it's possible, I will try changing resolutions (Currently I use 600/800)

dont see how
You mean lag out of the game? no, do you mean a window will run slower? possible....maybe. I'd try increasing my resolution and see if it fixes it, then deciding.

I will try that, thanks
And the glitching happens whether in a certain window or not -
the mod has nothing to do with my spellbook, yet it's when I open my spellbook that it gets bad. And the rest of the screen lags a little worse after every time I have had the spellbook open. It's almost like my video refresh rate is down to once per second. If i log out and back in, it's still as bad as before, but if I reboot entirely, it's fine, until I use my spell book a few more times.

Loss in Frame Rate
Everquest Bit Depth and Desktop Resolution Bit Depth need to be set to 32 bit. If either or both of them are 16 it causes a huge amount of framerate loss.
EQ Bit Depth is found in Display tab of options where the resolution is found.
Windows Desktop Bitmap is found in the Display Properties, either in Control Panel or by right clicking on your Desktop and Choosing Properties. It is on the Settings Tab.
