SqaureBtnPressed texture in HotButton window
I'm trying to mod my hotbutton window such that when I execute a hotbutton that stays pressed (in this case it's the Kick function), the button changes color. So, say, when you execute Kick, the button goes red until you can fire off another Kick.
Simple enough to add a custom animation and make the HotButton use it for A_SquareBtnPressed but there's a side effect:
No matter what I do the custom texture for SquareBtnPressed always shows underneath the spellgems and inventory slots. GR!!
I've messed around with different alpha channel masks and even a custom A_SpellGemBackground with a texture that lays the goofy oval on the texture used in A_SquareBtnPressed. All to no avail.
Anybody got the lowdown on this?

..I worked that around too, the problem still exists, it's as though I have an alpha mask problem to resolve with A_SpellGemBackground and a_InvSlotBackground. When I set a sold red tex for A_SquareBtnPressed it shows up under all the elements.
Any suggestions?

To Change the Item
In order for the item to be changed you need to actually go into the corresponding Graphics file (ie> window_pieces_03.tga) and change the individual graphic for that style of button (ie. reskin the button area you want to mod) Now this may be a bit hard unless you have worked with reskining the windows before it becomes a bit daunting knowing What graphic is for which button or item.. so on and so forth... If you attach a copy of the File that you want to change (along with all window pieces 01-whatever) that are used in conjunction with that UI I am certain I should be able to help to change the graphic for the button you are talking.. Please also let me know which one you are talking about... Pressed.. or Disabled... Because I use a monk, and I know when I used Mend and FD those button become disabled for a period of time.. not just staying pressed it becomes disabled...
Hope this helps

I'll work around with it some more tonight. Basically, I did retexture the button, created a Ui2DAnimation for it and all (no slack, am I!). I did at one point apply the custom texture to the Square_BtnDisabled as well.
Just going to take some trial and error, that's all.

Empere I understand the problem you're having. The pressed button look is the background for each hotbutton so there's no real way around this that I can think of off the top of my head. Also notice that if you have an empty hotbutton it will show up as red for you.
