The auto equip box only works in the Inventory window. It is not capable at this time of being used in any other window.

Is there any way you could say make the inventory window really small so it just has the auto equip box and have all of your slots in another window(i.e. Cairenn's UI) or would you have to have a full inventory window?

Yes, you can strip the inventory down to just having Auto-equip, coin slots and buttons (as none of those elements can be moved to other windows). Just remember that you have to actually leave the other elements there, you just "hide" them (best option is to size everything to 0,0). And also remember that you can't actually make hotkeys from inventory/equipment slots that have been duplicated in another window, only from the inventory window.

Okay, then they have changed that. It used to be that trying to make a hotkey that way would crash you out. Hadn't checked it at all recently. They say you learn something new every day, so that's cool.

How to Autoequip hotkey?
Hi guys! You say that it can be done but how?? Can someone post how to get this done? I tried dragging the autoequip over and dropping into a hotkey slot.. like you do with the inventory slots... but it didn't work.
I take it it has to be coded in an .xml? If I could get this done I would be sooooo happy

Noooo ... re-read. No one said it can be done, as it can't.

If she does, I'd love to see it, as I'm sure everyone else here would too .... Post it when you get it, please?
