Very Sad
Sadly... every one of both mine and my hubby's UI's use 3 of the top 5 most DL'd UI features, and NONE of them will load.
Mafoo's Player, Buff 2, and Hotbutton mod. All was perfect after yesterday's patch... but today, all was nuked.

I actually think now it is only a problem with the very small tga file that was Dl'd with todays patch... major issue being caused by the 4x target window that uses that file.... I'm researching now.

A graphics file shouldn't stop it from loading.

Actually it is possible for a graphics file to crash your skin. But I would agree with your statement that a graphics file SHOULD not stop if from loading. Should be subjective in this case. No-one has ever said that Sony or VI do things the way they SHOULD.

***** /edit *****
Seems the problem is with horizontal buff window afterall. I inadvertantly loaded 2 items at once while testing.
If caused any confusion... I am sorry =(

VERY ODD>......
After reloading one piece at a time... ONLY the horizontal buff bar seems to cause the problem. I will parse the errors shortly, but the 4x target window works fine, as does every other part of UI....
ONLY the buff bar is in error it seems... and that error seems VERY strange considering the only file DL today was the tga file....

Strange that I should not be able to load the following windows:
Player
Group
Hotbutton
Effect
Target
all from one tga file. =P perhaps it was just a bad patch on my pc... but who knows at this point.

It is possible that if Sony changed the size of the graphics file it could crash.
EX: Sony replaces the graphics file with a smaller file then it use to be. When our XML files go looking for a piece of that graphics file in a place that is no loger there because the file is not that large anymore it could if the serverside of the programming were not done well cause the skin to crash. Because as programmers of the EQ version of XML that we are we are sort of stuck with trying to do things without knowing what the serverside of the code is. As a result of this lack of forsight on Sony's part we are restricted to guessing at a great many things. This being the case it is possible that because of some miscalculation on Sony's part that a graphics file can cause problems.
Now this was only one example and I am sure that some of the other programmers around here could come up with plenty more but because of the way that XML has been implemented in this particular case from Sony/VI there are a great many things that can crash your skin that as programmers we would not have aloud to happen if things had been done correctly.
