Now.. I've spent the last hour or so reformatting the code in the file and I noticed something - theres a series of items that have an EQType of -1.
Is that normal? Is that a valid EQ Type? Yes I know theres a listing of EQ Types in the FAQ section and I will go there next to most likely answer my own question, but I just thought of it as I began typimg this :P

In the hotbutton window, since all item slots are "OFF" til you hotkey an item there, -1 is a placeholder value. In my work with programming I tend to see -1 as a null.

What I would be looking for in that xml is errors. Every time I got strange awful lag in my UI, it's because I was referencing something that didn't exist.
Ok, I tried running the file. There were a number of undefined objects:
A_Inv1TabActiveIcon
A_Inv2TabActiveIcon
FT_HBPageBorder
WDT_HB
I would suggest you chase down the definition for each of those objects, see what image files they use, and make sure that you have a correct Texture definition and the actual image file for all of them.
