Ok Haliken if you can get a chance look at this and tell me what im doing wrong, Would appreciate it. The hott hasn't been touched yet so only need to look at the target part.I have the color changing part commented out at the moment.The small parts(b) work fine but when i include the large(a) part it becomes a full bar that changes color every 20% so the fill doesnt move it stays full all the time.

Arg, the name's Enok, or Enokhaon. Ignore my forum handle. Look, I sign every post as Enok! I'd change my forum handle if I could.

Anyhow, taking a look at it.

Would you mind attaching your window_pieces01.dds file here? I'd like to double check something.

Erm, and don't sweat the name thing. =)

Default pre-SoD breaks color changing HP bars?

My downloaded Target/HoTT window had a nice Target bar that changed colors at 50% and 20%. Now it doesn't work properly. It is all green at 100%, but turns multi-colored thereafter instead of solid colors that change as Target health decreases below the trigger %. It appears the two x100 all-or-nothing gauges are no longer working as they should.

Two questions, if anyone knows....

1) Is this readily fixable by altering some of the parameters? or did Sony's changes break this ingenious hack?

2) If so, will it require the HP bar to stay fixed sized (now that they support stretchable gauges) in order to work properly?

I am sure I am not the only one wrestling with this. Thanks for any feedback.

AFAIK broken at the moment. I temporarily altered my colorchanging target bar to solid green until I can figure this out. I cribbed all of it from someone else ....four years ago (with a lot of trial-and-error), so time to dig all that out again.

Yes it is fixable, now that the gauges are sizable you need to remove the x100 backggrounds from everything, then set the pieces that had x100 background to 10000 minus whatever there offset is for x size, then set there loc to 0,0, place them in a container that will be used to set their size and loc here is a piece of code for example:

<Gauge item="PW_Gauge1A">
<RelativePosition>true</RelativePosition>
- <Location>
<X>0</X>
<Y>0</Y>
</Location>
- <Size>
<CX>8000</CX>
<CY>10</CY>
</Size>
<GaugeOffsetX>-2000</GaugeOffsetX>
<GaugeOffsetY>0</GaugeOffsetY>
<Text />
<TextOffsetY>8000</TextOffsetY>
<Style_VScroll>false</Style_VScroll>
<Style_HScroll>false</Style_HScroll>
<Style_Transparent>false</Style_Transparent>
- <!-- <TooltipReference/>
-->
- <FillTint>
<R>240</R>
<G>0</G>
<B>180</B>
</FillTint>
- <LinesFillTint>
<R>0</R>
<G>0</G>
<B>0</B>
</LinesFillTint>
<DrawLinesFill>false</DrawLinesFill>
<EQType>1</EQType>
- <GaugeDrawTemplate>
<Fill>A_GaugeFill1_PW</Fill>
</GaugeDrawTemplate>
</Gauge>
- <Screen item="PW_Gauge1A_X">
<RelativePosition>true</RelativePosition>
- <Location>
<X>69</X>
<Y>22</Y>
</Location>
- <Size>
<CX>20</CX>
<CY>10</CY>
</Size>
<Style_Transparent>true</Style_Transparent>
<Pieces>PW_Gauge1A</Pieces>
</Screen>
- <Gauge item="PW_Gauge1B">
<RelativePosition>true</RelativePosition>
- <Location>
<X>89</X>
<Y>22</Y>
</Location>
- <Size>
<CX>80</CX>
<CY>10</CY>
</Size>
<GaugeOffsetX>-20</GaugeOffsetX>
<GaugeOffsetY>0</GaugeOffsetY>
<Text />
<TextOffsetY>8000</TextOffsetY>
<Style_VScroll>false</Style_VScroll>
<Style_HScroll>false</Style_HScroll>
<Style_Transparent>false</Style_Transparent>
- <!-- <TooltipReference/>
-->

This works perfectly for all gauges Player,target, group,even pet.All credit for code goes to Enok.

1) Yes, it can still work, but is slightly more annoying to do. Rather than relying on a ~10000 pixel wide gauge background, the gauge itself must be ~10000 pixels wide and placed inside a container to clip off the 99% of the gauge you don't want to be visible.

2) As far as I can imagine, color-changing gauges can't be stretchable and must be a fixed size.
