We experienced the same problem with the maps we had included.
Try this for me if you could pls. Set your display to 32 bit and then log in to the game and set it for 32 bit in the in game options and see if that changes anything.

Problem with a Map
Hi Muse,
The map for the Lost Vallry of the Dreadlands isn't displaying correctly...either it's scrunched up East-West or it's stretched out North-South. This is the only map doing this so far. I've checked the jpg itself and it's ok.
Using the latest version.
Could someone else try this map?
Thanks,
Feebb

Would love to try that for you Rams but since im only using a Voodoo 3 it only goes up to 16bit. So i guess maybe that's the problem.
One of these days i'll get a better vid card.

Really very well done modification Muse. I've used your maps for 3 years no need to go elsewhere now. ![big grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

for some reason it will only let me load one map at a time.
I am useing windows XP so I did get the Java program also.
I followed the directions but when it asks for the jpg (which is in the correct folder) it will not allow me to select more then one.

You have to use either ctrl or shift or both to select more than one (just like in regular windows).
I'm still not sure about the scrunched maps problem, although I honestly haven't had a lot of time to look at it. Is it that every map is scrunched, or only one particular map?

For me so far it's only one map, the "Lost Valley of the Dreadlands". It seems that the height of the map is twice what it should be as reducing the height by 50% makes the map look pretty good.

Okay, looks like it's probably a problem with that specific map. I'll take a look at it and see, it may be a different type of jpg and it doesn't get read correctly. Thanks for the feedback.

Feebbwin and Wrentia, I've uploaded a new version of that map, could you try it out and let me know if it works for you? It was indeed in a different format, so that might have messed with the Java.
Also, I'm guessing that the CY component in Size (and throughout) was listed as 1024 and not 512, while the CX was 512? Let me know if I'm right on this one.
Thanks again.

Any idea about the cut off of maps or the blurred out images yet?
Sent you a few emails with jpg pics of what they look like, hope you got em.
