Jobeken is my beastlord...I have a mage and cleric and shaman and wizard and and hehehe...
Usually when I am skinning I am loggin in a bunch of different ALTs that I make and delete as needed to check the skin for different classes....But I /autojoin servwide.eqgui
So if I am on, it is usually a strange name, you can just ask if Jobeken is on and I will answer if I am

I forgot to add....
In the next pre-release...I have coded my own window definition...WDT_HUD...
It is the same as WDT_RoundedNoTitle except it loads window_back.tga as the background image for the windows. That is by default transparent. You can change that file to be whatever color/transparency/image you want and all of my changed windows will take that background...
It works really well for allowing users to have the colored glass or "aqua" look in any color scheme they choose. To make your background custom just open window_back.tga and play with the picture to your liking
(I advise against R50 B220 G100, really nasty nasty color for a background)

Is it possible to make textures partially transparent? I don't mean EQ transparency where it fades the texture to let other stuff show through, I mean like a glass look where it's kind of shiny and brightly coloured and reflective but translucent. Like looking through a gem.

Yes Aeluin Wait till you see my skin
The target window, looks like a nice glass sphere...When you have a target the sphere fills with a swirl of multishaded red liquid - (health)...I think you'll like it

just to reply to the post a bit above:
I made my DungeonCrawler background partially transparent by making a "grid" of sorts... I made an extra layer in PS6 that had every other pixel as black, then did a select color to select all the black dots, then loaded that as the alpha channel for the background, essentially making it 50% transparent by default.

LOL, go nuts!
Just remember there will be diff graphics coming out still, like the new glass.zip I just uploaded which has a few alternate background (rather than transparent) choices as well as the glass rounded border rather than the default SOE borders.
