Ok, I'm a total UI noob, please bear with me. Probably my question is so dumb I haven't found an answer to it with search.

I'm not really interested in a complete set, I just want a couple of parts using mods, like the inventory window, and the player window... now what I don't understand is this:

I download a zip, like EQGUI_Player.zip. I unzip it in a folder named \playerwindow, newly created in the \uifiles folder. Now what do I do??

Sorry to sound so stupid, but please help.

Ok now start EQ and bring up the character you want to use this skin on.

Next just type in the following:

/loadskin playerwindow

Hit enter and after a couple seconds it will load up what ever mods you have in the playerwindow directory.

If you are looking to have multiple mods to be used as a single skin for one character you will need ot have all of the mods in that one directory.

ok got it, thanx a lot for your explanation.

is there any way to have that mod loaded by default, or do I have to type /loadskin Whatever everytime I log the char I want to use that mod with?

No, you won't have to /loadskin it again, so long as that remains the name of the folder, for that character. If you want to use the same folder for other characters, you will have to /loadskin it once each for each of them.
