I think what he means is that you're now stuck in a /pause 30 instead of re-trying to cast the song. There is no way to re-activate or stop a macro during a /pause 30.
/pause 30, /cast 2
/stopsong
If you miss a note on /cast 2, that /pause 30 will still take effect before using /stopsong and continuing on.
