Default Killer Spellbook

Sadly, Im fairly certain this cannot be done, but it would
be of a HUGE benefit for us who have to buff people and then
have to sit and remem spells....

IF it IS possible, I envision something like the marriage of the
10 slot vertical hotkey side by side with the inventory slots....

BUT it would be:

Mem'd Spell 1 | Book 1
Mem'd Spell 2 | Book 2
Mem'd Spell 3 | Book 3
Mem'd Spell 4 | Book 4
Mem'd Spell 5 | Book 5
Mem'd Spell 6 | Book 6

On through 10.

However, another option *if hard coded against joining windows*

Is to make the entire spellbook one vertical row with the keys
to switch 'rows' from 'AC/HP' buffs, to 'Resist Buffs' to 'Undead' etc.

| *1* *2* |
| |
| Spell 1 |
| |
| |
| Spell 2 |

Obviously, instead of the names the spell gems would be there.
A Spellbook geared for Buffs would be highly valuable IMHO.

Oh yea hehe the *1* and *2* are the forward and backward
for cycling the rows of spells.

Let me know if it *can* or *cannot* be done please. I think this
would make a Shaman's day as well as a Cleric.

Which part?

A) The Buffbar/Spellbook

or

B) The one line Spellbook?

Default Spell Book

I don't think the multiple spell books can be done. Best thing to do would to just sort your spell book into those categories and remember which pages are what.

Default spells

This is something I wanted a long time ago. I submitted a request to verant about this already also. What i was wanting was definable spellbook tabs, like bookmarks in a real book.

Until they implement this, I have done what I think is the next best thing. Sort your spells into categories like many people have done. Leave gaps in pages if u cant figure out category names that encompass exact multiples of 8 spells. Then make hotkeys named for each spell category that jump to the corresponding page. It also helps to make a separate hotkey page for your spellbook bookmarks.

example:
"Heals" /book 1
"Buffs/Rezzes" /book 2
"Cure/Resists" /book 3
"Battle" /book 4
"Damage" /book 5
"Mob Control" /book 6
"Utility" /book 7

I always hated swapping spells around every time i hit a new spell lvl with characters. So now whenever I make a new character, I define these bookmarks ahead of time. I look at the spell list for that class, and figure out how many different "lines" of spells it has. (i.e., 1 regular nuke, 1 undead nuke, 1 summoned nuke, etc.) and figure out the categories i will use, how many spells it will have in it, how many pages it will take up, what order to place the categories so they make sense, etc. If you do this correctly the 1st time, you will never have to reorder your spellbook to accommodate new spells. Hope im explaining this clearly enough... Im rereading it and it makes sense to me, but then again I already know what Im talking about. Hope this helps.
