Default XML not compatible :/

Hey guy's

I'm kinda new to this thing but i keep having the same problems when i try to use the new UI's that i downloaded from here.

I keep getting this message

"Your XML files are not compatible with current everquest files
certain windows may not perform correctly.....

Im sure this is a simple thing that i should change but i have no clue what.

Can anyone help please?

Most likely they haven't been fixed for the last patch. Check the Released and Patch Fixes forums for fixes, or Search (you can use the one in my sig).

If you want to try fixing them yourself, read Cairenn's Patch Fixes post for what's changed and how to fix it.

GOod luck!

Also, posting your UIError.txt log file from your main EQ directory will allow us to pinpoint more definitively which file(s) is causing the error message.

this was the error message i got.

UIErrorLog created at Sat Jan 11 21:03:14 2003
[Sat Jan 11 21:03:18 2003] Error: Could not find child StandButton in window PetInfoWindow

[Sat Jan 11 21:03:19 2003] Error: Could not find child SELW_SDBuffToggleButton in window SelectorWindow

When i tried to edit the EQUI_SelectorWnd.xml file with the guide you posted i got this message afterwards and the UI would not load at all.

[Sat Jan 11 21:08:13 2003] [Line:193 Source:UIFiles\myskin4\EQUI_SelectorWnd.xml] Couldn't find class:item 'A_SongBtnPressedFlyby' reference in FieldParseItemOfClass()

I downloaded this http://eqinterface.com/sdownload/fileinfo.php?id=65 and copied it over a copied set of my default files.

I hope you or anyone can help

Thanks
Dedoo

That is because you still need to make the changes to the EQUI_Animations.xml file as listed in the patch message.

Don't copy your entire default directory into your custom directory. The ONLY files that need to be in your custom directory are ones that have actually been customized.
