Default Templates

Hullo folks,
Just had a minor question with templates. Has anyone been able to notice a performance change when having EQ's UI engine stretch graphics compared to displaying predrawn window templates? For example, I have a 1x270 portion in the graphic file, but have EQ stretch to 100x270, or should I just go ahead and stretch the 1x270 to 100x270 in the graphic file? Thanks in advance. Thanks in advance.

I always set my graphics in a 256x256 template and use actual graphics sizes for my elements.

From various posts, I was under the impression that the textures must be in a power of 2. (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256)

Apparently some systems have some issues with textures over 256...so I just try to keep it relatively small, if possible.

Ya might try 2, 256 for canvas size...see if that doesn't help some.

Grafic files over 256x256 on some grafic cards dont display right. So say your working on an image like a spell book thats 500x400 it would need to be broke into 4 parts (4 files) so it will display corectly.
