Default Adding an image....

I'm TRYING to add an image to my inventory window, and not having any success : here's what I have done (I'm guessing at how to do this, BTW...Trying to learn as I go here) :

First....create the image in Photoshop, alpha channel and all...it is just text, so the alpha channel isn't a "rectangle"...it is the shape of the text..hope that makes sense.

Second...copied the .tga to my mod ui folder.

Third....opened EQAnimations.xml in notepad, (this is where I think there may be a problem) and added a section for this new .tga..Basically I copied the code for one frame of a class animation, and changed filename / size where appropriate, and changed <cycle>true</cycle> to FALSE.

Fourth...opened the inventory xml in my mod folder, and added <staticanimation blah blah blah> to it, along with the <pieces> line .

Fifth...opened the thing in SidlFiddle...it KNOWS that there is something there, size is correct and I can select it, but I see no image. Sooooooo..

Sixth...copied the new .tga to the "default" ui folder, where the animations.xml is located.

Image STILL doesn't show up.

I know that there may not be enough information here to enable anyone to determine what my problem is (other than just plain not knowing what I'm doing), but if I'm on the right track and you need just a little (heh, or a lot) more info, please let me know and I'll do my very best to provide it.

=====
Edit:

Just realized that I forgot to make sure the tga was 128 x 256. I'll try that and see if it fixes things.

Ok so I figured it out...and now realize that I was on the COMPLETE wrong track there. Anyone who stumbles across this thread while looking for advice on inserting images into windows...IGNORE IT.
