I want to make my own UI! Need advice/tips/anything!
I've decided I wanted to make my own UI, but I don't even know what programs to download or get. Can someone tell me what sort of things I need? I have a good idea just need to be it to action.

step 1: acquire underpants
step 3: profit!
step 2 is still a little fuzzy

in all seriousness though the best thing to do is start out with a program that lets you see the mods you create as well as edit them. SidlWidl is what I started on (moved to notepad) but I can't find it anywhere, I thought dolby was going to host it on eqinterface but I can't find it.
REQ for SIDLWIDL
.net framework 1.1
64Mbs or SDram or better
800Mhz proc or better

Lol! I don't even know where to start, I don't know anything about programming, all I see when I open a UI file is a bunch of < >'s with weird things in between !

*gasps* Maybe it was a bad idea... I don't have that kind of money laying around. Isn't there another way?

I just started learning how to use Gimp. It's a freely distributed program originally designed for Linux, however there is a windows version. The link to it is on the main page.
It was a difficult task, but i finally made my first tranparent .tga. If you like a challenge here's the link:
