i hope you dont mean you need class to enjoy 'let the bodies hit the floor', i remember seeing those guys when they first started out, i caught them down in deep elum in dallas, they didnt even have a refrain for that song, they just mumbled and screamed incoherently. hell, after that video came out we laughed our a$$'s off at those geeks. now maybe it takes a primal thing to dig it, but not class

Default A little variety

Before, there were 3 or 4 combat music bits. Now there is just the one. And its driving me crazy.

I DO need combat music. In high resolution, it is very hard to see the faint red line around my info box. So combat music lets me know for sure I'm actually fighting. BUT, I'm growing to hate that one not very nice piece over and over and over and over again.

I remember there was some great combat music in Heroes of MIght and Magic II (that was the "opera" one, and the music was wonderful). I'm wondering if there is a way to get some of those into EQ.

I wouldn't see why not... I know exactly what your talking about... I just popped it in my CD player and they are music tracks so you can just rip them into MP3 format. It is pretty nice indeed.

Mozart - Carmina Burana, if there was an EQ boss fight music, this would be it.

Good music for ingame, Soundtrack to Conan the Barbarian, and Lord of the Rings. I listen to these while i play, Conan is especially good for raids i pull.

Holst - Mars is great combat music. I play this on my mp3 player at the start of each raid battle. The buildup and length of the song seem to be about right for most fights.

Other music I play for battles:
The Conan the Barbarian soundtrack
Black Sabbath - The Mob Rules.
Drowning Pool - Bodies
Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills, The Trooper
Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff
Metallica - Seek and Destroy, Fight Fire with Fire
Otep - Battle Ready, Blood Pigs
Matrix Theme
The Who - Baba O'Riley

Talking Good choices...

Those are all good choices, but my preference is to stay away from music lyrics (except for the chanting in like Conan or Excaliber). I enjoy music that has the dramatic score, and music with lyrics (ie. common music you hear on the radio) don't have that. But that is just my preference, is all.
