Default Load UI Skin only shows default.

Old puter died and I got a new one with Windows 7. Reloaded EQ but when I tried to load custom UI , it wasn't listed in game under Options, Load UI skin. I even tried copying and pasting default UI and renaming it "test" but it would not list either. Someone please help, want to install and old-school UI with old gems, will quit EQ if I can't get it working

the ui may be out of date and may have to go find a new one that is up to date and that will work!

Also may have to update the game so the ui patches

UI's list np on my Win7. nothing special to get working

Sounds to me as though you have 2 install directorys.
As you say you did a copy of default, and that dosn't show

It's either installed twice, or one of the expansions installed in a different location.

Check you drive(s) m8

Cool

i wrestled with mine for a while also. if you are running the new station launcher on windows 7 the path you follow to extract the files is: go to computer in start menu then--harddrive--program data--sony online entertainment--installed games--everquest--UI files. some of these ui's show up in the ui files in a folder and some dont, the ones that dont you have to make a new folder and drag and drop. this may seem obvious to alot of folks but not old geezers like me.

Make sure you have no spaces or special characters in the renamed UI

Default not sure but try this

You had mentioned you got a new computer and you could of possibly got a 64 bit computer. which as far as i know of eq is a 32 bit program so on a 32 bit computer your directory would be c:/programfiles/sony/everquest/uifiles and on your 64 bit system it would be c:/programfiles(x86)/sony/everquest/uifiles hopefully this might be the problem if not sorry for waisting your time
