Unhappy OoW Compatability

Great great work, I have never used anything else but the original quartz since it came out by statix, just love it, and am very appreciative of DarkSir keeping it up to date...

so please (heartfelt plea here), would it be possible to adapt it to OoW expansion as well?? Ninth Spell slot and all, I could not bear to use another UI

yours sincerely

Quartz 1.8 with the OOW update is on the way. Trying to get it lined out as we speak. Mostly trying to figure out where to stick the 9th spell slot..

Keep watching, it'll be here as soon as I can get it.

Warning to quartz users: I don't have the originals to work with for the Quartz2Blue background pack. That said, I will either A: Not be updating the Q2 Blue pack, or B: be removing it entirely. Input is appreciated.

Don't forget the additional buff slots that are going to be available though AA in your update.

That part is already added. I'm trying to figure out the spell gem, but other than that, the release is almost ready.

Default Idea for 9th spell gem..

I bet you could put it in the lower left corner of the "group window"...

I think that might work well...

That wouldn't work very well for me, since I switch the petbox, and the spell set, so that I can hit assist, autoattack, and cast without having to move my cursor clear across the screen. Having to do it to use a 9th spell slot would kinda blow.

Hmmmm.... lets see then...instead of having the gems stagger from top left to bottom right, just line them up along the left side of the box and put the 9th at the bottom right and the spell book icon above that...

12
34
56 B
78 9

like so

I don't like any of the ideas listed =P

Why not leave it the same and just add the 9th gem below the 7th gem staggered as is? The way the spell gems are is one of the big reasons i like quartz.

So far, the problem with beside the group window is: It's a different window, I don't think you can move spell gems to other windows.

Below the 7th might work, I'll have to see how much room there is.

The only place I know of where there IS room, is the upper right hand of the spell window, next to 2. But I don't really like that.

I hope to have the update posted by monday. Been kinda busy this weekend.

Sounds like you already have the buff part in hand, but I did manage to get a version of it running that doesn't complain, and should line up for those with the 5 new slots (I don't have them yet to test it myself).

That looks about like what I've got. The biggest problem was modifying the buff window graphics without having the original to work with... But oh well.

For NOW, the 9th spell gem is going to go beside #2, just to get the XML compliant, and get it in your hands. I'll work on placement a bit more for the next patch level.

Posting it for approval here in a few minutes. Just need to make a few last minute adjustments.

There's a new Optional Mod: An aCtions Window that has a 5th tab, with a list of pet buffs. It slightly messes up the icons on the tabs, so only use it if you're playing a pet class.

1.8 being submitted within the next hour.
