Taleisin Guest Posts: n/a	Custom Zoning Splash while I can't figure out how to disable it entirely this is a bit better run patcher screen untill "play" button is pressable, leave patcher alone download, extract, copy the .bmp file into your \Everquest\resources folder overwriting the SOE splash if you downloaded the cat zoning splash, remove the 3 from the name of the .bmp close folders press "play" on the patcher and enjoy Edit: Sorry Tal, the image was just a bit too questionable for public posting. yes if you copy it into this folder THEN run the patcher it'll put the default back in the folder erasing the modifyed one, you have to run the patcher first and have it ready to go before you copy the splash into the resources folder

I used the same sizes as the EQ one, unsure if x,y matters though

yes, I crash less too, I've decided to stop trying to disable the splashscreen, found out it flushes the video memory and allows it to refresh ( something EQ only did after camping to server selector, before OoW )

That is because the Splashscreen is doing what they intended it to do.. Clear your video ram so that when you zone you effectively "log in" again. This was a problem thats been around since Luclin came out.

I for one am very glad that have found a viable solution.
