Question List of breaking changes?

I created this UI in mid-2017: https://www.eqinterface.com/downloa...nfo.php?id=6691

Long story short, I stopped playing EQ and now it's not working. It looks like the changes are due to how the Animations XML file is structured.

Is there a list of breaking changes? I noticed there used to be a forum dedicated to this, but it doesn't look like anything has been posted there for a few years.

I can't seem to get it working through brute force as it eventually gives me an symbol validation error.

Code:
[Thu Mar 07 19:13:39 2019] [Line:88 Source:UIFiles\neue_velious\EQUI_Animations.xml] Schema error - Duplicate item Spells01.tga [Thu Mar 07 19:13:39 2019] Error reading XML. [Thu Mar 07 19:13:39 2019] Error loading skin: loading default skin instead.

looks to me like ur EQUI_Animations.xml has 2x Spells01.tga

i would check Animations for Spells01.tga giving 2x of the same type of code around line 88.

if you are useing notepad dont. download Notepad++

Thanks - That's the first place I went to look, too. It is used once on Line 88 as <Texture Info> and then later as just a <Texture>. Is this no longer allowed?

I'm guessing there was some schema change since this worked before without any errors.

far as i know should only need to reference it once unless ya using another part inside the texture but that would have been stated in the XML code hehe.

did removing one of the 2 lines fix ur issue?

Edit: well thanks to one of Ang's update post's i think this apply's to you

"- 4.0.4 - Major change is the removal of the spellicons/gems from EQUI_Animations.xml file. According to the dev, the spell icons will continue to work until DBG create new/upgraded spells that do not reference the 'original' spell files."

Thank you very much, Fnyyen.

I got it to load now, but with some red text errors. Going to try to hunt those down next
