/notes BuSt3d
Hmm... when I type /note to bring up my notes window (one of my favorite features btw since I have the memory of a potato chip) it's been saying some junk about being unable to open it and that I should make sure the window isn't locked blah blah blah... any ideas? I'm using Vert 2.2 Crystal Meth.

How did you fix it?
I'm having the same problem, mine is broken after the past big patch a couple weeks ago...

easiest fix is to delete the original file (copy elsewhere if you need contents saved). Then let Everquest recreate the file during the patch or with the first usage.

Specifically, the error I'm getting says 'Cannot open notes.txt: Make sure notes.txt is not read-only'.
Well, it's not read-only and I'm wondering if anyone else might know what the solution is. I'm using the vert mod 2.2 with the TKing book/gems/icons.
I tried deleting the file and letting EQ patch it but that didn't help.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Having same problem, but only in one of my UIs (Trilzw3). It's fine in all the rest (I have many...like to change every so often). I've tried deleting it and letting EQ patch it, tried the Note fix file, tried replacing it myself with one that works from another of my UIs and nothing has worked so far. I get the same message about text file. I'll keep checking back to see if anyone finds solution.

The problem (most likely) is the the EQUI.xml file your mod uses doesn't have EQUI_PlayerNotesWindow.xml listed. If you open your EQUI.xml file in your custom UI folder and add EQUI_PlayerNotesWindow.xml in the same fashion that all other .xml fiels are listed there, that should fix it.

That was the problem, I had to add the line to my EQUI.xml file. Works again!
Thanks!
