Anaxandrides A Fire Beetle Join Date: Jan 2005 Posts: 2	/loadskin doesn't show anything but default I currently am using the default UI, and I'd like to use lodidodi. I've always used it in the past with no trouble, but quit playing and deleted EQ, so I just reinstalled it when I started up again. In my UI directory is "default" and "default_old" which were put there when I installed/patched EQ. Then I downloaded lodidodi and put it into it's own LodiDodi folder. However, when I go in game and /loadskin, or go through my options menu to get to where I select which UI I want, ONLY default shows up, and not any of the other folders that are in my uifiles directory. I am, needless to say, completely stumped as to why it won't let me select another UI, and any insights would be greatly appreciated. Last edited by Anaxandrides : 06-30-2006 at 04:25 PM. BiNFiZ A Treant Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 24	Couple things you may have already done.. make sure the folder u pot lodi in has no spaces in the name IE nospaces_ui make sure u actually unzipped the file into this new UI folder.

Anaxandrides A Fire Beetle Join Date: Jan 2005 Posts: 2	It is exactly named "LodiDodi" and I tried again, just to be certain, but I unzipped the files into that folder.. they're not like, another lodiodi folder inside the folder or anything by mistake.

Eloora A Shissar Disciple Join Date: Aug 2002 Posts: 110	Unfortunately, many UI's on this site simply do not work in whole, even when installed perfectly. I have tried several reasonably up-to-date mods that just will not load once in game at all. It's very hard for most people to troubleshoot a broken UI when it's an all or nothing crapshoot on getting them to work in game .

BiNFiZ A Treant Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 24	True but lodi is not one of those for sure =) I just ran across this issue with a friend. I deleted all UI's other than default re-downloaded Lodi and ping no issue's. I didn't try to load his but i will say that if add files to lodi IE equi.something.xml and they aren't added to the equi.xml the custom ui usually does not load. format would be <Include>EQUI_something.xml</Include>

This should be how you see your UI files: 1.C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest Trilogy\uifiles\Ranger (If that is the UI your using) 2. C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest Trilogy\uifiles\drakah_intg_tking (If that is the UI your Using) It should not Read: C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest Trilogy\uifiles\Ranger\drakah_intg_tking. __________________

Audune A Fire Beetle Join Date: May 2003 Posts: 2	I'm having this same issue with Jethal's Nightelf-OOM, my UIErrors is filled with "Cannot find insert file here using default" (though not as long as that other person who posted earlyer) however it doesn't show the custom UI images (like the leaves surrounding the windows) which is the biggest plus I've had with using this UI in the past (recently came back after deleting EQ for EQ2) I've done both the 5/15 patch and the May UI Fix, but no luck, I did find however the last few lines: [Sat Jul 08 12:56:21 2006] Error reading XML. Left EQ, came back after trying other games, installed the Titanium Editiom, and only skins that show up are Default. The reason I ask, is because I notice that now Sony puts EQ into a sub folder of Sony so... C:\Program Files\SONY\EverQuest\Skins\drakah_ci_legacy instead of C:\Program Files\EverQuest\Skins\drakah_ci_legacy I have noticed that some FAQs and tips dont mention the SONY directory. Just a thought.

Egras A Lost Soul Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 418	Audune your using a custom UI that has a custom tga file and most likely you dont ahve that tga in the right location if you cannot see the graphics. Verify your file locations. Sony may miss a custom tga file in the UIErrors.txt. rpstreet, Your having the same issue as whom? There are 3 different issues that I see in this post. Be specific and perhaps post your UIErrors.txt file.

This may be a stupid question, but are you putting the UI into the Skin folder? It should be in the uifiles folder, for example, C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest\uifiles\drakah_ci_legacy
