When I install the new TOV UI, EQ will not load. It gives an error: "Error in your GUI XML files.CHeck uierrors.txt"

EQ loads the default UI folder properly.

In the UIErrors.txt file, there are a bunch of "[Sat Jan 01 11:40:55 2022] Warning: file xxxxx.xml not found in directory UIFiles\LodiDodi\. Attempting to use file from Default skin.
(Which I assume is normal because the custom UI doesn't create/load every file and lets the default UI load them instead.)

The only other errors that are not that default are as below:

[Sat Jan 01 11:40:55 2022] Error reading XML/SOM.
[Sat Jan 01 11:40:55 2022] Error loading skin: loading default skin instead.
[Sat Jan 01 11:40:55 2022] Warning: file MQUI.xml not found in directory UIFiles\Default\. Attempting to use file from Default skin.
[Sat Jan 01 11:40:55 2022] Couldn't open or read UIFiles\Default\MQUI.xml
[Sat Jan 01 11:40:55 2022] Error reading XML.

*Edit - I was able to get an older version you put out in August that I had saved so using that for now.

Zip and email me your whole custom UI Folder(\Lodidodi). I will fix it. Its not giving me those errors so something is messed up.

You could also try just copying the EQUI_Animations.xml file from my download into your UI folder.

To 'get by' I downloaded Emi's Buffs windows for short and regular buffs. It works but I get a "Your XML files are not compatible with current everquest files" error, but it still loads at least.

Buff windows both short and long term are re-coded to the new format. Fixed Kiyala's buff bars also.

They are in a optional folder(Kiayla-Drakah Buff Bars), just copy them out to the main Lodidodi directory. Or just copy the EQUI_Buffwindow.xml, EQUI_ShortDurationBuffWindow.xml, and EQUI_Targetwindow.xml to your current folder.

I tested it a little and I resized some stuff on Kiyala's Bars. Let me know if any changes need to be made.

I loaded your entire updated download folder then copied out the Kialya spell bar, and Drakah spell bars and Kialya target.

The UI loads with error message, but it loads.

The target window doesn't show the buffs, but it shows the target name and target of target.

The buff window has smaller buffs (I like them!) but no name or countdown timer. I will email you screenshots.

This should be all sorted out now. Its hard to keep files strait when there are three or four version of the same file floating around. Sorry about that.

I think I would stick with Emi's buff windows over Drakah - they are easier to move around. The ONLY negative thing about them is the buff slot # do not fade even with the window set to fade to 0%

If the buff #'s faded to nothing it would be the perfect buff/short-term buff window honestly.

conveniently enough the login servers are down and I can't work on it. Haven't really felt great the last few days so it's been hard to concentrate.

I don't see what the deal with the drakkah bars is because what they changed has nothing to do with spacing or or alignment. I know what's wrong with the target window.

I will get it sorted out as soon as I can log back in.

I had to redo a bunch of stuff due to conflicting declarations. I would recommend a fresh install if it all possible. I changed the animations files, both the regular, lodi and buffbackgrounds xml files.

The optional buff bars from Drakah are a little weird since they changed how they work. There are fixed numbers on the right that can't be moved dynamically any way I can figure out. I moved them more right so if you want them to go away just shrink the window until they are gone. Also I widened the blue part so that more of the spell names can be seen. The regular buff window is a font size 2 while the short duration buffs window is font size 1. I don't use those so it just seems a little goofy to me.

Let me know what else is screwed up.
