Default Combat abilities - how many do classes get?

Hey folks,

I might be having a bit of a rethink of my UI, but I've realised that I've no idea how many combat ability slots each class gets. Does anybody know?

I'm pretty sure Warriors are going to have 8, but what about hybrid classes like Shadowknights and Paladins? I know my bard has just 4. Also, do any of the pure caster classes get combat abilities at all?

thanks,

Myx

Pure Melee have 8. monks, rogues, warriors, etc.
Hybrids have 4. Bards, Pallys, SKs, Beastlords.
Priests and Casters have none.

Thanks bud. I don't suppose you know if any class can use more than one combat ability at once? ie: before the ability timer has finished counting down.

i was going to say no . . . but there is one that i know of.
Monks, at least, though i don't know of anyone else, can use Third Wind (and i presume Second Wind and Fourth Wind, though I've never tried) at the same time as another disc. this is because the Wind disc shows up in the short-duration buff window, instead of on the disc timer. i have never seen or heard of two discs that go on the disc timer (ie, show up in the CA window with a countdown gauge when you use them) being used at the same time.

hope this helps.

Don't worry about it imo. 2/3/4 wind is more like firing an AA, with the limitation that you can't fire it while any OTHER discipline is running. Since you can then immediately fire another disc if you want to, though, there is no clash in the combat abilities window. It never appears there.

Oh, cool. It means my combat window plans can go ahead after all. Cheers
