Default Lightning bolt cast bar

I was thinking a cast bar that was vertical and was a lightning bolt that crashes down as your spell cast would be a pretty cool mod to have , think it would just be a bar that uncovers a lightning bolt as it goes down , lemmi know if it can be done. Thx

Yeah it can, and is a pretty neat idea. But I'd need someone to make the graphics for it, I can do the XML but not the art.

give me a size and I'll do the graphics for ya. Neex total width and total height, although it won't fill the entire area (it's lightning...).

The guage itself is 116x8, plus the endcaps. The way the vertical guage idea works will make it pretty laggy during casting time, so if you have any problems with the particle effects, I wouldn't reccomend using this. Let's say, 30px wide by 120 tall. That should be ok. I'll post a TGA of it here when I get it done. Was thinking of doing it as animated, but I think only high-end comps would be able to cope with that. I made a horizontal cast bar that was animated strands of mana flowing between 2 hands for wizards (gonna do lightning instead for that one), but imagine running 2 GOOD animations at the same time... that is what it would be like having a vertical animated casting bar, lol.

Actually, what I'll probably do is put a shot of 3 or 4 different lightnings to see what would be best looking for ya.

Default Killer

Killer Cant wait to see what you come up with , if most people wont be able to use the verticle thats fine , think it will have the same effect as a horizontal bar . Really appriciate you helping me with my idea : )

It's not as "laggy" as you might think. Anyway, just post some graphics files and I'll see what I can do.

Gauges can only move from right to left. I am not sure if that is what you are envisioning with this project.

The small text at the top can be removed. It is just a concequence of using an unregistered .gif animator.
