Well, I managed to recover the stuff from my old hard drive, which I suppose with respect to UI stuff is good news with a caveat.

I've got a player window that allows you to click-to-target on your own health bar. It only works if you actually click on the red health bar, though. Clicking elsewhere in the window doesn't work and may actually clear your target completely. The other drawback is that it's my own personal caster window, so it has a large mana bar but a tiny endurance bar. It also doesn't show the new group role icons; I put numerical hp and mana values in that space instead. You can still right click and assign yourself a role, but you won't see the little icons to remind you what roles you currently hold. I don't play melee characters and I couldn't remember exactly what I changed to allow the click-targeting so this is all I can contribute at the moment. I think the window is just about perfect, but then again I only modified it with myself in mind; I hope you have similar needs and tastes.

I also made a draggable target window. It has a 1 pixel tall title bar; if you're not careful you'll miss it and swear the window is still useless. To drag your target window around, unlock the window, then slowly mouse downward from above the window towards it's middle. First you'll get the up-down resizing arrow, then you'll get the 4-way movable arrow. If you get a regular pointer arrow, then you've gone too far. Like I said, go very slowly because it's only one pixel tall; I didn't want a big ugly title bar sitting around all the time.
To use these mods, follow the usual steps:
1. Make a back-up copy your current Tablets folder (just in case)
2. Download the attached files into your current Tablets folder
3. Overwrite duplicate file names
4. Reload your UI and cross your fingers

I want to be able to click anywhere in the player window to self-target, so I may fiddle with that some more to see if I can make it happen. For now, however, this may be better for you than nothing at all. Your call.

Updated the player window, including the 'flavors' in the Mods folder, clicking in the top portion of the player window will target self (above XP and AA bars).

Updated Target window and Target with HoTT window to make them easier to move.

kaoriknights - if you just want the Etasi icons and don't need the custom spellbar just take the following files from the Etasi_spell_icons folder:
gemicons01
gemicons02
gemicons03
spells01
spells02
spells03
spells04
spells05
spells06
spells07

They added more buff slots and SD buff slots as well as pet buff slots with today's patch.

I will get the changes made asap, but I am unable to work on it tonight due to some RL things going on.

eta: I'm told by some guildies that while you do get the red 'error' message when loading the UI it does still function. Hopefully no one will have massive issues tonight. I will work on it tomorrow.

Is there any fix to this UI? I recently came back to EQ and cannot get the UI to load.

Thanks

Which version are you trying to use? Did you unzip just the download to it's own folder (do not copy any files from Default)? What did you name the folder (it cannot have any spaces in the name)?

The patch this week did NOT break the UI, it still works fine but you will be missing the new graphics file they added and the new buff slots that we can't use yet anyway.

Thank you a ton for your post. I have been gone a long time I totally forgot about the folder name and no spaces lol. That fixed my issue and now I am a happy camper. I probably missed reading it somewhere in a haste to get eq running so my appologies if I did.

Coming back to EQ after over a year off, I can't tell you how happy I am to see a current version of Tablets.

I'll get new versions uploaded when I get home from work tonight. From the files my friend sent me the changes don't look that bad so it shouldn't take to long *knock on wood*.

I tried to get on Test yesterday to make the updates but could not get into the Test server at all.
