Let's see all my gaming started with console RPG's begining with Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior.

Then in December 2001 my roommate brought home a game, Everquest, at first I was sceptical. The graphics were not that great and it seemed incredibly time consuming so I stuck with my PS2 and Final Fantasy X.

But fate had a different plan for me. My roommate went away for a few days and borrowed my PS2, now being the hard-core gamer I needed something to play. you can guess what I played.

I soon relaised my roots of gaming....content, fun, and replay value always beat out graphics in terms of importance.

I was hooked, it took about 1 hour of playing to become an addict.
A friend of mine said to me in regards to becoming hooked:
"You have been training for EQ your whole life...all those RPG's you played have been a warm up for this day...you were meant to play EQ."

My first character was Bikther a plucky wise-ass Dwarf Paladin who is still my main. I have tried a few alts but have not enjoyed them a whole lot. My current Nerco alt is fun though.

Eq runs in my viens, I am an addict, even with other games out there they don't last last long against the hold EQ has on me.

I got hooked when EQ was more about fun, not stats and power leveling. lol, but anyway, my first charecter was a Human Ranger, I forgot his name... he was deleted about 3 days after I made him. Then I made another charecter, he got deleted a few days after too... and i kept going in that same pattern for a while. But I finally found something I like to play as: My Erudite Paladin.

I'm not sure about this, but i head that the higher int or wis, the faster you get skill points in EVERYTHING. That may explain all skills maxed out. hehe

When EQ first came out I shunned it because I knew it would suck me in, being a D&D player from way back, but finally in 2001 a co-worker talked me into buying it, and lo and behold January 10, 2001, I started my first character , Remerdar the ranger on Nameless. Played him until about level 12, then that friend decided he wasnt going to play anymore, so another friend told me to come over to Terris, and that's when Aeden was born, Feb 21 2001, and 2 accounts and roughly 20 Characters later here we stand still firmly addicted...

Well, let's see here....

I started playing EQ around Sept 20, 2001....I would've played as soon as I came home from overseas (military here) but I chose the ill fated day 9/11 to get back to the States...so I ended up taking an impromptu layover in Germany for a few days.

My first character is Hibereas Humorousmelody, a Fier'Dal Bard. Luclin came and Hib took the backseat when I got hopelessly addicted to my main, Tsekande Troublepouncer, a Vah Shir Beastlord.

Just for S&Gs:

Tsekande Troublepouncer (56 Vah Shir Animist, Epic'd)
Hibereas Humorousmelody (41 Fier'Dal Bard)
Elainyn Spellfury (32 Koada'Dal Wizzy)
Mita Forsakengrove (24 Fier'Dal Druid)

I have peeked at other servers, but Vazaelle is home. I've been in the same guild the entire time and we're still going on strong!

Default Eq

Well I am Noob
Started my 1st toon in February 2003
Linolan, Half Elf Paladin
He got as far as 26 when I decided I wanted to do more than hack and slash so I started a Froglok when the last expansion came out. Again Stickleback only got to lvl 26 and I was fed up of playing him. By this time I had met an old timer who was currently lvling his druid and we got to chatting while he helped me lvl my Wizzy and he took me over to his server and showed me his favorite toon, A Magician!
Well after that I came straight back to my server (VS) and started my own. he was created in march and I have never looked back.
I am now looking at 2 boxing and starting other toons to help out my Magi like a ranger to go and lvl in SK and get me my cloak from pegasus or a Shaman to do the Reagents I need for my Port talismans

For me the addiction is as strong if not stronger than ever and since playing I have money in the bank. No more wild weekends blowing my pay packet.
If addictions are bad then bring it on I take 2 holidays abroad a year now and can afford what ever I fancy (like that new comp for my home network)
