Both of the following spells are Level 19.
Spell Effect Cast Time Mana Skill
Serpent Sight Gives Target Infravision 5.0 sec. 30 Div.
Tiny Companion Makes your pet shrink 50% 4.0 sec. 50 Alt.
Tiny Companion
If The spell can't be used Why then is it listed in the Beastlord Den as a level 19 spell.

The spell can be used, it just doesn't shrink your pet (which is what it is supposed to do, hence the bug part. Well for Vah Shir Beastlord in any case. I have not been able to shrink my pet in at least 6 months.)

The reason shrink pet doesn't work on vah bsties until lvl 55 or so pets is because the size is based on height. When you shrink a PC or a Pet, you can max shrink to 50%. If you notice, the bst pet is already as tall as a maxed shrink PC. They have to be taller than a maxed shrink PC in order to be any smaller. For instance, if you get grow cast on your pet and then use Shrink Pet it will then work but you will notice, he's the same size as he would have been pre 55 pet.

OK that makes sense. Just don't understand why they put the spell in at level 19.
TY all for input.

shrinkage
It makes sense that pets can only be shrunk if bigger than a max shrunk PC. That explains why my shammy pets cannot be shrunk, because they aren't very tall to begin with. Had a beasty friend check to see if his warder could be shrunk (lvl 60 bst, dunno what lvl that would make the pet) but it could be shrunk. Thanks for the input on the no-shrinky unless bigger than a max shrunk PC info., I had been wondering why my shammy's pets could be grown, but not shrunk.

ALL pet classes get Tiny Companion at 19, not just BLs. If BLs weren't so self-centered this question wouldn't be asked so often.

Bah, that comment wasn't a personal attack, it was just against the BL community. I'm sick of hearing them whine about shrinking their pets... plus I envy their slows.

I didnt think it was
Btw, beast slows suck, we are just a backup (and shaman's punching bags for pre-slow) just as much as other classes are able to mez mobs not just enchanters. I like the idea of having a touch of mixed classes for diversity or else I would had quit looooong ago, but I do not like the idea of not being good at anything really in particular. So its all on how you look at it from different class standpoints. There is always a positive and negative side to everything.
Ohoh (edit) the main reason why BL's are whining is because everyone else harps on them to "shrink your dam pet", when the pet was already shrunk as small as he could get (per SOE bug). Hell, we would much rather have a huge pet than a tiny one, just no one would like that much.
