Default From Sokol: Official VERT 2.2 PATCH!!

Sokol could not get on the site to post (his ISP not ours) so he emailed the following file..

He says this will fix any version of Vert 2.2

Also watch the files area for some patches to his mods there..



10/19 Sokol sent me a new ZIP, fixed an error, not promising it works with the 10/21 patch

i put the patch into the older and it still doesnt work, am i supposed to do something special here?

do you have only the files that are used in Vert in your folder?

I wont be able to test for another 2 hours.. but my suggestion is double check to make sure you dont have any extra XML files in your vert folder.

Nope, my ZW3.0 isnt working so I D/L'd Vert CrystalMethod 2.2 and the patch fix. Unziped that to uifiles then unziped the fix to the Vert folder. It asked to replace the current existing one. Hit yes. Load EQ. Load new skin. Nada...

I have Vert 2.2 CM version, Dl'ed the patch and everything works fine.

I have a problem, I am using vert2.2 but I take spellbar from Vert1.1.

/load vert2 with this patch work but my texture.txt file & uierror.txt are growing anormally.. they are looking for a file that I don't have not in vert1.1 & Vert 2.2 it's tkspellbar.tga... Someone experiencing this problem?

edit : Oh yes, I have to copy all file of my default folder to my vet2 folder.. I don't know why, otherwise my uierrors say that he doesn't find a lot of files & trying to locate in default folder but doesn't find too... this is so strange

Angry From Sokol: Official VERT 2.2 PATCH!!

Ok
Sokol's fix works for me but...now vert, any flavor of vert has horrible FPS. It's like being in the Bazaar even when outside. Completely unplayable. It's caused by the Gems window, when I hide it frames are ok.
Just a heads-up.

ok I found this in the eqanimation I downloaded here, but I don't have this file... even in the original pack that I didn't modify, there's not this file..., Am i the only one?

Will these patch still let us use the alarm? I think that was a pretty cool feature, and would like to use it with vert mod.

Question answered Just downloaded it and logged in. Everything working fine except for large amounts of lag. Probably because I was in ssra. Thank you!

I just downloaded Vert 2.2 Crystal Meth. Put it into it's own little folder, then I downloaded the 2.2 patch, installed it and overwrote the old file, tried to load the new one, and nadda. Something else is screwed.

Perhaps we need EQUI.xml in our skins folder now with all the included windows listed in there?

I hope this is fixed soon, I can't bring myself to play without my vert skin :P

Ok heres what i did.

Download and unzip meth2.2.. goes in its own file as /purple

Download and unzip the patch in this thread.. overwrites one file

When you loadskin... do it the old way. /loadskin purple 1

It worked for me


I just need someone to help me find other 2.2 vert files... the purple is a little irritating for a pally

Default Possible fix

I had the same problems that everyone else had with 2.2 CrystalMethod, not being able to load the skin. Even after using the patches here, it didn't work. So I figured that the problem was the Alarm window and the Loadskin window. I started looking through the files that were downloaded by EQ's patcher, and noticed the following lines in equi.xml:

<Include>EQUI_LoadskinWnd.xml</Include>
<Include>EQUI_AlarmWnd.xml</Include>

By deleting these two lines from equi.xml, I'm able to load up the skin with zero problems. Basically, just copy the updated XML files from the default skin folder to your custom folder (just the ones that were updated by the patcher). Open up equi.xml in Notepad or any text editor and look for the above two lines. Delete them, resave equi.xml, and load up EQ. Use the old format for loading skins (/loadskin foldername), and it *should* work fine. It's not a perfect fix, but it works.

Okay I had tons of problems getting my Vert2.2 mod to work I downloaded mine from the UI Builder site and then put in that cool Melee Window the name is escaping me it is the one with the Barbarian with all the circles and stuff. Well I could not get it to load with the loadskin window.

I checked my UIerrors and I found that I was missing files EQUI.xml and Sidl.xml in my default directory and It wasnt patching those files I even did one of the Complete checks in the advance taps of patch. Still didnt get them. So I decided to delete my Default folder and repatch. Well after that I had problems getting windows to load.

I was finaly able to get a Irontail mod to load when I put a copy of these 2 files in my Irontail mod folder. The files are:
1. EQUI.XML
2. Sidl.XML
I then did the command the old way /loadskin irontail 1. And it worked I was amazed.

So I tried the same thing in my Vert folder and I couldnt get it to work. Then I found the post of Mykol who is the creator of the UI builder website you see linked on this website. Follow the instructions that Mykol did and it should work great. You can see that thread by clicking on the link below. ( am hoping this works if not just cut and paste it in the navagator bar)

Oh I almost forgot I couldnt get it to work again with the load window. SO i did the /loadskin <name> 1.

Default Spellbar lag

I have terrible terrible lag when I alt+s and bring up my spellbar, in anyzone with any vert mod. I saw Freebbwin had the same problem. Anyone find a fix for this?
