I can't seem to upload files. I think it will have to wait until this move is all settled down.

What I have been trying to do is to make the UI generic in the sense that I could apply any texture to the various panels. Towards that end, I have made a number of transparent "glass" buttons.

Ugh ... one attachment per post ... here are the new hot buttons:

EDIT: Attaching files isn't working either. I guess you will just have to wait.

Will probably have to wait until monday to load.
Sad as that is, it's probably true due to recent site changes and a real life move on our illustrious host's behalf.
Really really look forward to seeing your new mod. I use 3.0 with ALL of my casters.

Default Version 3.1 is up ...

I just uploaded 3.1. That should fix the mp3 window thing.

I removed EQUI.xml from my UI, so in the future, new windows won't break the mod.

The major change in 3.1 is that I made most of the usual buttons transparent. This allows me to change the overall look of the skin very quickly by changing some of the background panels.

Attached is a full screen view of 3.1

And, with that lovely 1 attachment per post rule ...

Here are two alternative textures, mostly for demonstration. If there is some texture you really want to see, post a 256x256 image and I will make a panel for it.

Hm ... I tested the melée mod.

Create a new directory or delete everything in the old one. In that new directory:

Unzip TKings spell icons.
Unzip Xym3.1 - let all files overwrite.
Unzip the meleeui.zip patch - let all files overwrite.

I did exactly that on my husband's computer and he played his warrior all night without complaining, so I suppose it worked.

I haven't yet tested the 1024x768 or 1152x864 resolution mods.

I just downloaded 3.1 and applied the melee mod and it worked fine for me.

Any plans on some more backgrounds? The green is great, just wondering.

Well, I put up the wood and the purple rings. What colors or patterns would you be interested in seeing?

Post any 256x256 repeating texture and I can make background panels for it.

Well, I didn't really have any in mind ... however the green on the actual skin came out a lot brighter than it did in the screenie. Only thing I can think of is that texture, but darker. For my skin it was like a healthy grass green while the screenie had more of a forest green.

Btw, great skin ... I think its my favorite thus far.

Oh, and I know how to make them, but just wanted to let you know that the "others hits" (hitsmode on bottom left, no border) box you have in your screenie doesn't appear in your settings for the zip.

It's hard to get the colors right on those textures. The way it appears on your screen depends on your monitor, video card, and gamma setting. If, for example, you are a human keeping the brightness cranked way up to see at night, the whole UI will seem pretty garish.

When I look at screen shots outside the game, they look almost completely black, so I try to lighten them up to the level they appear in game. It is an inexact art.

I will put up a darker green background, but I can't promise to hit the same level as that screen shot when you load it in game.
