Modified XML windows that uses a different sized window, other than the default size, are corrupted by the failure of parsing XML data to the UI INI file. Apparently, the XML files are not taking priority over the UI INI file for window sizing.
We are waiting patiently (actually impatiently) for an official fix from the developers of EverQuest to correct the XML to INI parsing issue. For now, you can view the discussion below if you feel you can alter INI files adequately.

the size issue is also true if you are using a size-modified Map window.

Tid bit of useful info

Thank goodness I keep a backup from the day before any patching that they do. At first I had the same problem with this very issue, more so on my wifes comp. All I did was deleted my custom files, opened my zipped backup file and copied and pasted the custom files back to her machine, fixed the problems she was having. Some of the other files I deleted and used backups on were all the "charactername_ui.ini" files after deleting those plus the customs and reinstalling them on both of our machines everything worked the way it did before the patch. Hope this will be of help to others.
For everyone waiting on additions and updates to the Fyrecaster Player window, they are coming, just the having to deal with essays, team projects and general college issues has slowed me down. So please hang in there, also for those who may be having trouble with my UI window after the last patch, you are always welcome to zipfile your custom folders and email them to me at [email protected], I will glad to look em over briefly so i can figure out what SOE did to mess your chosen UI up.
