EverQuest II Class Tree Revealed
As a holiday gift to EverQuest fans, Sony Online Entertainment today released a puzzle that will reveal the highly anticipated class tree for EverQuest II, on the company's EverQuest II game site at: http://everquest2.station.sony.com/classes.jsp
EverQuest II features 48 classes available through a tree branch progression, allowing you to choose your class as you advance in the game.
The answer to the puzzle will be announced after the holiday break, but fans are sure to solve it much sooner.
Additionally, we've added three new QuickTime VR movies to the site as well at: http://everquest2.station.sony.com/media.jsp
-----------------------------------
If you want to post the answers as you find them please remember to use the SPOILIER tag ([ spoiler ] text [ /spoiler ]) (without spaces)

So I pick one, then another then I'm stuck going to a third end type? or can I then back out and try some other path...
Example not to spoil the spoilers...
I start off as a Priest type, then move to Shaman type... then since I have a few decent shamanic buffs, I want to become more of a tank type... I move to a Fighter type then to the next step and finally since I have access to DOTs from the shaman I want to continue to DoT I become an SK?... or is that a No-no?

What I have heard is that you will be able to trade back in.. ie.. you get to shaman decided you want to do fighter stuff, you can "trade in" your skills in Shaman and Priest, and become a fighter..
Now that is just what was told to me, don't hold me to this, they could change it a million times before beta, and another 2 or 3 dozen times in beta.

I think i remember this from the chat log they held not long ago for the pure melees .. but something about a beastlord/monk combo.. once you get so far into the game, you can either get mend or a pet.. of course, i'm not 100% on that.. you could always just go find the log and check.. it's probably still floating around on eqlive or eqinterface

The best way to describe this sort of class system is a citation from the Square game Seiken Densetsu 3, also called Secret of Mana 2. How it worked was this:
You started at level 1, say you were Angela, the caster. You started as a magician. When you got to level 20 you could choose to follow the Light path or the Dark path. When you got to level 50, you could choose to follow Light or Dark again. Whichever way you chose would influence your skills. For example, going light with Angela would give her more elemental/holy spells, while going dark would give her more destructive, dark spells. This is a very similar way of doing it, except instead of light/dark you have different classes. But it's an easy way of explaining if you've played the game.
