I do not think so. From the descriptions, I would think that the Fury would be closest to a beastlord.
I had thought they were going to remove bards from EQII. I would have rather had a beastlord class than bard.

I, for one am not liking how they're going about with all the class possibilities here.

Its like they're taking all the existing classes, and then splitting them up into two. Example:

Shamans can already buff, slow, haste, etc...with the new subclasses (spoilers, somewhat) one sub-class seems to be buffage/heals and the other handling dots/speed modifiers.

Good concept, but theres simply too many choices and alot of the classes will likely be half-assed.

The other way to look at it is to see that the classes break down into spe******ts.

Some of the class lines are becomming too blurred in EQ. Who is a healer vs. damage dealer? Sometimes it's tough to say. It looks like they're trying to re-establish more clear cut roles in EQII.

I'm guardedly optimistic.
