EQ Undead UI Theme

This theme was designed to be a simple graphics change to the default UI. I didn't want it to be overstated or understated, so hopefully I found a balance that is somewhere between the two.

This is really last minute stuff, as I've been working on several different games all at the same time (3 to be exact), and I have been in-out of town during the last stretch.

Design comments:

I've incorporated my own style within the existing framework (the one that I had quickly and on very-short-notice redesigned for SOE). I really wanted a clean Undead skin that didn't detract from the game enviroment, but rather conveyed a dark-muted haunted-cemetary-like palette undead nuance. Much love here for Necromancers who waited, and waited for an Undead theme by me! sorry for the wait by the way, hopefully this will make up for it.

The screenshot shows some examples of various UI panels. Some possible additions later on include animations. Again, this is a very quick swap-out graphical theme. Much more elaborate designs are on the horizon. Another has already been started.



This skin should be released soon with in-game screenshots.

Kuvasie has returned to work with me on this project, we're working hard now making any last minute additions.

Here is the orig celtic you made awhile back with a few modifications i did. The biggest prob i have is trying to get the class animation to work on updates, so i havent updated it in a very long time. IMO the animation makes the UI. Its my all-time fav UI. hope one day you upgrade the new UI for necros to look something like this . Will you be puting pieces in the forums so it could be possible to use the spellbook and cast bar? Keep up the fantastik work , and welcome back, we missed you

I do indeed plan on making an official update with much improve graphics at that. With more refinement and stylization. Kuvasie is back on board with me, she just rocks! so good things are on the horizon.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I sorely missed this awesome community, and I'm happy to finally be in a possition to contribute to it again. I had a lot of choices - very tough ones at that. But in the end; I went where I knew I could grow, and refine my UI designs much more. I really want to show what I can do, when I'm not being encouraged to depart away from my style of art.

For a while I found myself trying to do things that didn't look like I did them, well that didn't make any sense to me, not for a while. So by the time I was able to do what I really wanted from a design aspect, my mindset was already programmed to think against my own inspirations and artistic instinct. This had not changed until very recently, like this month to be exact.

So I'm finally going back to what I like to do, and do it the way any artist should, with 'their own' style. I hope I don't disappoint.

I've just uploaded this theme!

I hope you all enjoy it and in time for Halloween. I put a lot of love in this theme for the Necro's (and evil folks in general), who waited patiently for a theme like this by me and still didn't cast a hex on me. (Thanks for that btw, hex's suck!)
