Frontpage 2002 edits XML well.
I'am not sure about Dreameaver 5 (ie. Dreamweaver MX), but it may be worth a look.
btw, I like the sig.

Frontpage 2000 works for XML editing as well, but is there a newbie guide to XML 4 EQ anywhere?
and would it be easier to just take someone else's XML files for another UI and play around with it, or is there an easier way to build a UI (like a blank XML file, where you just add the background stuff, and move stuff around?)

FrontPage 2k and DreamWeaver I would have to say would be .. too large for basic XML Changes.
Best stick with something simple. I mean, you don't want to start up an application that takes 1 min to load just to change 'True' to 'true'.

I use a great program called Search and Replace site is http://www.funduc.com/search_replace.htm it is share ware but if you look on the net, you can find other copies of it. It will go thru whole folders and all types of files and do as the name states. I use it alot with html myself.
Hope this helps cut some time out for ya
