How much you wanna bet they will change the namefilter before release? You'll be able to reserve all the names you want but when you delete them and try to remake them only half will work!! I've rerolled charecters and lost names that way

O well, I guess its as good as a scarlet letter for singling out people one shouldn't group with.
Note: this is just one crusty person's option. Personally, I would have loved it if a) the random generator was more random/better and b) the ability to choose your own name was never put in place.

I would suggest you don't try your "Reserved" name till the WEE hours of the morning. Besides the name filter (Which is half assed anyway) GM's get a notice on their screen when you request a name. They have a veto button which then adds that name to the filter as a negative.
So you have to hope that there are no GM's online when you do it cause you can bet they will be watching that like a hawk on release day.
And just as an aside. I will personally be combing the names of newly made frogs and petitioning those that break the naming rules on my server. You know better....

I, for one, wish that EVERY name were reviewed. As it is, surnames dont even get checked anymore and VERY QUESTIONABLE and OFFENSIVE combinations of Surnames are being permitted by GM's. And bazaar traders should be loose privlidges for having STUPID names. Players have pushed far past the bounds of what is REASONABLY acceptable and need to be curtailed - even it does come across harshly.
