As always, my entire UI can be found at: http://drop.io/fanrasui

A look at it is here: http://everquest.yourwiki.net/wiki/File:Fanraui.jpg

You can pick and choose which pieces you want to use.

Good looking UI -- Lots of basic stuff I will use. Think I will start with that, and add pieces carefully to change a 'few' things.

I also noticed it was all in single files, having to download each one. I instead have downloaded, compressed, named, uploaded to my FTP server, and made a 'tinyurl' fitting for it.

For those you want this UI and want it in one download, click here:

Hope that helps!

I updated my EQUI_animations.xml file in my UI, and it works fine now. But I still get that red message after I load that says "Your XML files are not compatible with current Everquest files" etc etc. I have no idea why, the file matches the default file perfectly with the exception of a custom bitmap texture that I have added. Any ideas? It never used to do that.

The current text message you get is Sony's screwup. They left off some items in the Merchant Window. If your errors look like the following only, you don't have to do anything but wait for Sony to fix their mistake.

Quote:
[Wed Nov 11 15:12:16 2009] Error: Could not find child MW_Recover_Button in window MerchantWnd

[Wed Nov 11 15:12:16 2009] Error: Could not find child MW_ItemListRecovery in window MerchantWnd

[Wed Nov 11 15:12:16 2009] Error: Could not find child MW_PurchasePage in window MerchantWnd

[Wed Nov 11 15:12:16 2009] Error: Could not find child MW_RecoveryPage in window MerchantWnd

[Wed Nov 11 15:12:16 2009] Error: Could not find child MW_MerchantSubwindows in window MerchantWnd

If you see any errors other than the above in your UIError.txt file, then you have a problem also. The red text also happens when you load the default UI.

Those are the only errors I see. Good...not my fault then.

(Some minor red text errors when you log in due to elements of beta that have yet to go live.)

Bless you!!! You've saved what little sanity I have left - on both Live and beta!!

Updated Quartz_SoD EQUI_ActionsWindow.xml, everything should be working now, though there will be red error text due to Sony adding elements of Underfoot that have yet to go live.

Some like myself have the uis patched by beta or test so when it goes live very little has changed so it doesnt break the ui.

Cudya 11-11-2009 09:42 PM

After some people have expressed interest in my UI, I have posted it in the entirety here: http://www.eqinterface.com/download...nfo.php?id=5945

Thanks Cudya, your ui is close enough to my old one that I can at least play again

yenwangweh 11-12-2009 02:46 AM

Any word on "OINK"...is there gonna be a patch for that....love that UI.

I'd be pretty happy if I could get just the old spell and buff icons to function but have tried repeatedly to insert them with no luck.

The "new improved" spells and buffs that Sony switched to are nearly impossible to discern one from another at a quick glance which is really difficult to play around.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what would cause the older versions to not load when I create a new UI folder with them included? I am guessing there may be some other file that I need beyond just the spell and gem components but not sure what it may be?

I've tried to use some of the modified UI files to snag parts from but that hasn't worked thus far. Any help is appreciated.

Download this , unzip it.. open it.. find
gemicons01.tga,
gemicons02.tga,
gemicons03.tga,
and
spells01.tga,
spells02.tga,
spells03.tga,
spells04.tga,
spells05.tga,
spells06.tga,
spells07.tga.

put these 10 files in your custom UI ( Instructions HERE ) folder removing the other 10 files the same name. You'll have old default icons in your spell book, and spell tree and buff windows.
